So shortly after working on my own wedding invitation design and sharing it with you all on my blog, I ended up receiving my first boxed invitations order on my shop page: Emily’s Enchantments.
I am pleased to present the invitations created for Kiyana & David who are getting married on August 18th! Congratulations to them both! 🙂 I used a different jewel that was a bit more sparkly than the heart rhinestones I had in my own invitations. The bride also requested that the boxes get mailed as is with a label right on top of the silver box. I was originally concerned that the invitation boxes wouldn’t hold up well in the mail, but apparently they did! Whew! And, because the boxes are 5″ x 6″ instead of 5″ x 7″, the postage is significantly less (approx $1.75 per box versus $5.25) – so for any of you who are planning on making your own wedding box invitations, keep that in mind!
Happy crafting 🙂
I have been a regular fan of the black and white style for my own wedding stationery, but I decided to try something new when I had an Etsy customer request a pink and white boxed invitation. She loves the silver box, and wanted a little bit of light shimmery pink. I’m thinking of testing out some more invitation designs in the pink family (what do you think?). I’m sure most brides for the summer have already picked out their invitations at this point, since isn’t the rule of thumb that they should be popped in the mail at the 3 month mark? So far, Emma as approved her pink & white invitation sample and gave permission for me to post images of her sample on my blog so that you can take a peek! Hope you like the pics!
Congratulations to Emma & Andrew!
I am certainly not at the place card stage of the wedding planning (since the date is not until November), but I wanted to keep the designs coming and practice the rest of my handmade wedding stationery. I like keeping my theme consistent from the initial save the date to the thank you card at the very end.
This card is actually black & ivory. For my theme, each card is black and shimmery pearl white but I figured I would test it out on the ivory paper to see how it looks 🙂
Hope you like this little place card!
